Between December 2020 and June 2022, I traveled throughout California to collect stories of wildfire and drought and to document what I saw through photography and video. These words and images inspired The End of Rain, a multimedia symphony commissioned by the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music and featuring the Grammy-winning vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth. This limited-edition includes the complete crowdsourced texts of the work together with 97 photographs documenting the shared impact of fire and drought on California landscapes and communities.
